According to the official Lacuna Coil fansite “empty spiral“, Lacuna Coil singer Cristina Scabbia has been invited to record a new version of ‘A Tout Le Monde’ with the band Megadeth. A video was produced, too and Cristina is in it. Pictures of her at the shoot can be found here on the official Lacuna Coil myspace!
The song, originally on Megadeths 1994 album ‘Youthanasia’, will be included in the new album ‘United Abominations’, appearing on May 15th 2007. The original ‘A Tout Le Monde’ video was banned by MTV and the American radio, partly because they said it was a ‘song about suicide’, which is incorrect according to Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine.
About the choice of Cristina Scabbia as the female part he complimented her: “I’d wanted to hear that song as a duet, since it truly was a song of love. But the person had to be perfect; had to be angelic. I decided, and I have sang ‘A Tout Le Monde’ again with Cristina Scabbia because she is that person. I had Lisa Marie Presley confirmed, as well as two other attempts, but Cristina was the obvious choice for our metal community.“
