Battlelore have given their website a new outfit that matches the style of their latest album “Evernight” which was published last month.
Browsing through the page I found a report on their recent video shoot authored by Tomi and Maria. (I know that ladies have to be mentioned first, but she wrote the second part of the report!! 😉 )
I picked the best photos and will tell you the most interesting facts from the report. If you would prefer reading the entire original report yourself click here and have fun! 🙂
Our elvish companions from Battlelore recently took a weekend to shoot the video for their song “House of Heroes”.
In the video, an old man (the hero a.k.a. Timo) walks to his death on an icy lake and sees the ghosts of his past on the way. The first part of the shoot was taken in the beautiful Finnish winter landscape of Sysmä and Helsinki from February 24th – 25th. Battlelore had chosen to have the video shot by director Markku Kirves again. He had already produced their video of the song “Storm of the Blades” which you can watch if you click here!
Both shoots took place at Markku’s parents’ farm. Therefore his mother was in charge of “the catering” and it sounds like she really pampered the boys! 😉 Of course, they deserved it ….
… as THIS is real snow. It was – 30° Celsius when they wanted to start the shoot! Therefore the beginning had to be postponed. Not because Battlelore are sissies, but because the lighting could not be put in place as it would explode in the incredible cold! When they finally could begin to shoot, the temperature had “risen” to – 15° C!!!
The poor guy you can see in the pictures up there is drummer Henka. As he could not move the entire time and had to sit behind the drumkit, he was forced to leave earlier, because he physically could not bare the cold any longer!
They performed the song in their original costumes they wear on stage, that means sleeveless tops and quilts, as you can see. This sure did not make it easier.
If I had to wear this outfit outside when it’s – 15° C, I would scream my head off, too!!
They also recorded the song in double speed… Tomi commented:”We sounded like chipmunks on speed!” 🙂
German police (Polizei) officers were in charge of security. 😉
The second day was spent at Markku’s studio in the heart of Helsinki, which is by the way an incredibly beautiful city… 🙂
They taped their performance of the song several times. Maria wrote: “We did one time just banging our hads as fiercely as humanly possible to the song with 150 % speed!”
I suppose this is it…. 🙂
Singer Kaisa …
… and Pianist/ Keyboardist/ Flutist Maria are so beautiful…
… that Tommi is turned upside down by the sheer sight!
… other men go totally crazy when exposed to such incredible perfection !!! 🙂 You can’t blame them! 😉
Thanks for the incredible support you’ve given to us!
Believe me, it was really cold. Hah!
Raise the swords!

This has been simply incredibly open-handed with you to give openly what exactly a lot of people could have advertised for an ebook to get some dough on their own, primarily now that you could have tried it in case you desired. These secrets likewise worked like the great way to understand that other people online have the same fervor similar to my personal own to know lots more around this problem. I am sure there are lots of more pleasurable moments ahead for many who scan through your site.
